How many people go grab their yellow pages book to find a service versus going online at google to find a service? An answer to this question would be very valuable to the Internet marketer. Why? Because those who are Internet-illiterate or Internet-newbie often argue that the physical yellow pages is “where it’s at” when looking for a vendor. But how true is it? And once Internet penetration reaches saturation point, will google eventually be the information search KING – outpacing yellowpages, newspapers and other old-school advertising methods?

“New Zealand has one of the highest rates of Internet access in the world.” [Stats NZ] It is estimated that 1.5 million New Zealanders – of a population of 4.2 million – have Internet access. As this increases, google *will* be the sole source of finding a product or service. Or will it not?

What do you think?
